Coffee Appreciation Tasting and Open Brewing Class with Ply
This variant is currently sold out
Casual tasting and open brewing class with Ply:
This 1-hour tasting class is an all-you-can-drink tasting of Rogue Wave's coffees and one or two guest roasters from our friends around the world. Coffee will be prepared via different manual brew methods that flow along with the class content. You can also request a coffee + method that you would like to try. Don't brew coffee at home? Feel free to come for the tasting and to gain insight into manual brewing techniques and theory :).
What is an Open Brewing Class?
Our open brewing class is when you come with a question or submit a question ahead of time and Ply will troubleshoot and go over the brewing technique with you and the class. You are also more than welcome to ask questions at any point during the class. When there are no questions, Ply will touch on subjects like water for coffee, paper filter selections, all the things about coffee drippers, recipes, grinders, coffee origin, processing, and roasting.
What we won't touch on in this class: - espresso and milk-based drinks.
These are some of the brewing methods we will be tasting and brewing with:
- Pour over with Kinto Dripper, Kono Meimon, Hario V60, Kalita Wave, Torch Mountain, Torch Donut, Chemex, and Origami Dripper
- French Press and Aeropress
- cold brew and Japanese ice drip
10% off any purchase after your class and you will also take a sample bag of coffee home with you.
