Coffee and Literature - July 04, 7:00 pm

It is easy to wax poetic about the fusion of coffee and literature, and the crew at Rogue Wave are guilty of this. Prior to our obsession with the art and craft of roasting coffee and quality control, the two Daves spoke longingly about opening a "Philosophy Cafe" reminiscent of the Salon culture of the 18th Century and romantically about holding poetry nights in the Beat generation's footsteps.
While our business is now about obsessively sourcing and roasting the best coffee we can get our hands on, our love for literature and the conversations that a great cup of coffee can encourage are ever-present beneath every cup of coffee we brew (well, at least the coffee that one team member brews!).
What is this event? We will meet one evening a month at Rogue Wave Coffee to discuss a short story, article, or poem. Some solid coffee will be brewed and then conversation shall commence! Depending upon how this group evolves and changes, we may even tackle some books down the road. If you sign up, you will be e-mailed the reading at least a week before the meeting. It is free of charge.
This group is all about the love of literature, community and the fostering of conversation over coffee.
A free bag of beans will go to the person who guesses the first work to be discussed. A hint. It is a work by Hemingway. ;)
